No Much Going On

There's not much going on in my neck of the bluegrass.

Jen and Michael are finishing up Summer Camp and are getting ready to go back on their school schedule. School starts on August 8th.

We sent Was (pronounced vas) the Doberman puppy to his new owner in NY today. He was only with us for a short while, but he sure made a good impression on us. He's Envy's half brother (same mom). We'll miss him!

My cousin Kathy had her little boy a month earlier than expected! Little Paul Jr. joined the family on July 6th. I hope to see more pictures of him soon! Kathy and PJ are doing fine.

Hady-the-pumpkinator has moved on to bigger and better things! She's now discovered the watermelons, and that's enough to get David to fence off the melon patch. Our watermelons (there's around six of them) are getting big, and our pumpkins continue to grow despite their unlucky resemblance to tennis balls. On a sadder note, Hady had an ultrasound today and they didn't see any puppies. We were really looking forward to this last litter. I'm not sure what happens next.

I signed up for Netroots Nation 2009, which will be in Pittsburgh next August. I am hoping to get enough time and energy to start writing more about local politics soon. Writing meaningful posts requires a lot of research. No sense writing about an issue only to find out you don't have your facts right!

Hopefully, more fun posts in a little while.
