It just makes me sick to see, yet again, two more cases of men killing their wives/girlfriends and their children. How do these guys live with themselves?
In Canton, Ohio, a whole community is grieving over the loss of Jessie Davis and her unborn daughter. The whole time they were searching for her, her accused murderer gave interviews on television and radio stating that he hoped they would find her safe.
In Missouri, a man allegedly shot and killed his wife and three children, shot himself in the thigh and tried to pass it off as a car-jacking type of thing.
Most women who are murdered are murdered by a man they know. It's a horrible statistic and one I would be ashamed of if I was a man. As a woman, it scares me.

Carter Caves State Resort Park, KY

Jennifer, Michael and I took off to Carter Caves last weekend for some camping, horseback riding, canoing and spelunking. Carter Caves is one of Kentucky's State Resort Parks, which means they have a lodge and usually cottages or cabins as well as traditional camping. It's not too far from the West Virginia border in a very beautiful part of Kentucky.
Since the weather was not cooperating Friday, we opted to sleep in our own beds then drive up Saturday morning. A good choice! Saturday was horseback riding, tie dying, swimming and movie-in-a-cave day. Sunday was canoing, horseback riding and spelunking day.
Carter Caves has a really nice stable and very gentle horses. The canoe trip is a little too short but fun. If you get a chance to watch a movie in Cascade Cave, I recommend sitting up toward the front regardless of what the guides say. You'll hear the movie a lot better.
Here are a few pictures from the trip.
